CHICAGO, 17 October 2023: Atlas, the pioneer of the direct model for Employer of Record (EOR) services, today publishes its first annual ESG report as part of its impact program. This report outlines how Atlas is partnering with the people and the communities where it operates and how it is positively contributing to the sustainable economic future of the companies where its employees live.

"Atlas’s unprecedented global reach gives us a unique opportunity to care for the planet and the communities where we work,” said Lulu Rufael, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Atlas. “Through our impact ESG program, Atlas is committed to promoting diverse and inclusive working environments while also establishing systems to measure and increase our influence on each of our core ESG pillars going forward.”

Highlights from the 2023 report include:

  • A Global and Diverse Workforce: Spread across 32 countries and 53 nationalities, Atlas’ corporate staff is split approximately 50% male, 50% female across all regions, generations, and job levels.

  • Awards and Recognition: Atlas is consistently recognized as a leader in the global EOR space, including recently being named as ‘Leader’ in both Nelson Hall’s ‘Global Employer of Record’ report and Everest Group’s ‘Employer of Record (EOR) Solutions PEAK Matrix ® Assessment 2023’.

  • Internal impact Communities: Since January 2023, Atlas employees have created four distinct employee resource groups to celebrate shared identities, special interests, and unique life experiences — Women’s Community, Parents with Purpose, Planet A (environment), and Pride Community.

  • Atlas Training: As part of Atlas’ core focus on developing its people, the company offers unlimited online learning and professional development through Coursera. In 2022, a total of 14,396 learning hours were completed by Atlas employees, with almost 500 certifications achieved.

The report was prepared in close alignment with widely recognized sustainability standards, including the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Software & IT services sector standard, and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. Atlas’ commitment to ESG principles also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
