Challenge  

Wayzim needed to quickly deploy talent in USA, Thailand, India, Ethiopia, South Korea and Philippines to support its business expansion and provide after-sales service in those new markets. Each market had its own business environment with different laws and regulations, leading to unexpected challenges and risks due to lack of knowledge in these new local markets.   

In addition, sourcing overseas talent with the required industry experience in the niche field of intelligent logistics equipment proved to be challenging. Wayzim needed to provide a compensation and benefits package that was equally or even more competitive than local competitors to influence talents’ employment decisions. Therefore, Wayzim decided to use Atlas’s Employer of Record (EOR) services to support business expansion and provide compelling benefits and experience for overseas employees.

Meanwhile, Wayzim’s overseas employees are supported by employee relationship consultants to answer any inquiries and requests they have. As all services are delivered by Atlas’s own employees, the response speed and service quality are consistent.  

The Atlas HXM platform provides an easy way for Wayzim to manage its overseas employees’ entire life cycle across different markets from onboarding and paying their salaries and benefits, all the way through off-boarding. Wayzim is also able to search employment related requirements in 160 countries through the platform, and receives alerts when laws and regulations change, as well as research and information on new markets to support future expansion decisions.
