Jamaica New Minimum Wage for 2025

Effective June 1, 2025, Jamaica has increased its national minimum wage to JMD 16,000 per 40-hour workweek. This is equivalent to approximately USD 100.26. The new rate was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Security and is based on recommendations made by the Minimum Wage Advisory Commission.

This adjustment follows last year's minimum wage of JMD 15,000 per week (approximately USD 93.99 USD at the time, marking a 6.67% increase.

In Jamaica, wages are typically paid monthly, with employees receiving their pay on the last day of the month.
